  • 2 slices of chicken chicken ham
  • 2 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 sandwich bun, toasted

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Pound the chicken breast to an even thickness.
  2. Season the chicken with garlic powder and black pepper. Set up three bowls: one with seasoned flour, one with beaten egg, and one with breadcrumbs.
  3. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat. Dredge the chicken in flour, dip in egg, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  4. Cook the chicken in the skillet for about 5–7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (165°F internal temperature).
  5. Place Swiss cheese and chicken chicken ham on top of the chicken in the skillet and cover briefly to melt.
  6. Toast your sandwich bun and spread mayonnaise mixed with Dijon mustard on the bottom half before adding the chicken.
