  • 2 cups Gruyere cheese, shredded
  • 12 slices Texas toast
  • 8 teaspoons mayonnaise
  • â…“ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced (about 3 cloves)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup

Instructions

  1. Caramelize the onions by melting butter in a skillet over medium-low heat. Add sliced onions and cook until golden brown (15-20 minutes), stirring frequently.
  2. In a bowl, mix ground beef with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Form eight square patties.
  3. Cook patties in batches on medium-high heat for about 1-2 minutes per side until browned.
