  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon molasses
  • 0.5 cups unsalted butter (for dipping)
  • 0.25 cups granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 0.25 cups brown sugar (for coating)
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together buttermilk, canola oil, softened butter, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and molasses for the swirl mixture.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle with half of the cinnamon mixture.
  7. Add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon mixture; gently swirl using a knife.
  8. Bake for about 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Allow cooling slightly before dipping in melted butter and coating in cinnamon-sugar.
