  • turbinado sugar (for rolling)
  • ¼ cup apple butter

Instructions

  1. Cream the softened butter with dark brown and granulated sugars until smooth.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, salt, spices, baking soda, and cream of tartar.
  4. Gradually combine wet and dry ingredients without overmixing.
